Matej Michalec is a graduate of the University of Trnava Law school. Moreover, he is also a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law & Chinese). Furthermore,

Matej augmented his Chinese language proficiency through studies at two Chinese universities (Nankai and Zhejiang).

In 2015 he underwent a professional intellectual property exchange programme with a well-known Chinese company. Between 2016-2017 Matej worked at the European Patent Office - the

Department of Asian Patent Information and the Department of International Legal Affairs and PCT.

Matej specialises predominantly in Intellectual Propery Law, with a comprehensive approach focusing on its international, european and national aspects. In addition, he is responsible for communication with Chinese clients and partners.

Language skills: English, German, Chinese, Slovak and Czech language 

Matej is a member of the Slovak Bar Association.
